I think the true eBay experience is about finding and watching popular items.  Not high volume commodity items or daily deals, but sufficiently unique items that deserve to be watched.

The WatchedItem.com blog will cover interesting eBay niches for shoppers, the niche market’s fans, and the casual seller.
